IC: MICROSOFT EDGE |
With the new Chromium browser, which is made on Google Chrome technology, Microsoft Edge has already crossed the Firefox browser over the past year, and the trend appears to be continuing.
In the years since, the internet community has treated Microsoft browsers with a laugh. In addition to the modern Internet Explorer, Microsoft at some point put out a Microsoft Edge browser, which failed to maintain a critical mass of users who would accept it, even though it used modern solutions.
NetMarketShare report for 2020 In 2014, it showed Edge's 7.57% market share pushed it by Firefox in March last year. Now another analytics company - StatCounter reports that Edge has been gaining new users over the past few months, with Firefox's customer base shrinking, according to b92.
While the data does not prove that Firefox users have started using Edge, we see Microsoft's viewer jump from 7.81% to 8.03% this year, while Mozilla's product has fallen from 8.1% to 7.95%. It's the pinnacle of all time for Edge, according to StatCounter.
Edge's gain with the user did not provide him with a different position. The honour went to Safari, which now has a 10.13 per cent stake, although its number has been falling since December, so Edge could overtake him quickly.
