Nvidia 3080 Ti Could Launch Later This Month

With rumors spreading recently, more sources indicate that Nvidia may be getting ready to launch its new GeForce RTX 3080 Ti graphics card soon.

With talk about the current deficit on new GPUs still on a lot of people's lips, there have been rumors flying around that the likes of Nvidia and other manufacturers are looking to launch some products very soon. Recently, there were speculations that MSI were possibly about to release the RTX 3080 Ti card. Now a new source indicates that the 3080 is in fact real and could be heading to stores soon.

In a post on Twitter earlier this week, a PC and tech analyst posted a photo which appeared to show the box for the rumored Nvidia GeForce 3080 Ti graphics card. The user then went on to say that they had to blacken the background in order to protect personal information, but they assure people that what's in the image is "a real 3080 Ti" which someone has apparently got hold of.

While the tweet doesn't say when the card is likely to be released, another source states that Nvidia may be looking to launch towards the end of this month or possibly early June. This is all despite the fact that the hardware shortages, which have ravished the PC, gaming and tech industry since late last year, may have impacted the RTX 3080 Ti the most, so maybe this is a sign that things may be returning to some semblance of normalcy soon.

The low supplies have arguably caused a bit of a headache for those looking to upgrade their set-ups with new gear. Everything from shortages of semiconductors to cryptocurrency miners bulk-buying all the GPUs for mining purposes has been blamed for the deficit, with speculations that it could go on until 2023. The situation has become so desperate that, earlier last month, Nvidia had started toying with the idea of bringing back its four-year-old GTX 1080 Ti to plug the hole in the market.

If the 3080 Ti does come out soon, PC users can expect it to do what pretty much all Nvidia Ti cards do, which is to offer a slight improvement on the previous model's hardware spec. While the 3080 has 10GB of GDDR6X RAM, and 8704 CUDA cores, the Ti version is expected to up that slightly to 12GB VRAM and around 10240 CUDA cores. As of now, there is no definitive word from Nvidia itself whether the 3080 Ti is in fact mere weeks away from being launched, but all recent rumors and speculations seem to remain hopeful that the market will see it arrive very soon.
