If you have problems with Wi-Fi signal on your iPhone, try this...

If you're troubled by poor Wi-Fi signal or speeds on your iPhone, there are a few solutions worth trying.

Internet connection is a key function of any iPhone, but sometimes a weak Wi-Fi signal results in slow internet surfing, out-of-service apps, or impossible-to-watch uploads. Then it pays you to make a few moves to improve your iPhone's network performance.

Try to reset the router

Many users usually overlook this simple solution. Restarting the router is most worth it if the Internet doesn't work on other devices either.

All you have to do is find the ignition button and turn off the router or pull out the power cable. Wait a minute before restarting your device.

If the internet connection does not improve on any device after restarting, the problem probably lies with the router itself, MakeUseOf explains.

Try changing the position of the router

The average indoor Wi-Fi signal has a range of about 45 meters. The further away your phone is from the router, the weaker the signal. Try to get closer to the router and see if the situation is any better.

If you notice improved internet connection quality, try bringing the router closer to where you use your iPhone most often.

Wi-Fi signals can also block things like walls and floors. Try placing the router in a clairs. It can also help if you put him in a higher position.

If you want to check the strength of your iPhone connection, look at the icon in the upper-right corner of the screen. The Wi-Fi sign will have more dashes if the signal is better – one is a weak signal, two are medium and three are a good signal. If you live with a lot of people, maybe the problem is too many simultaneous users.

Remove your iPhone from your mask

Most of the materials used in the manufacture of smartphone masks do not block the Wi-Fi signal. Some, however, can do this – they are different metals.

Metal, we recall, interferes with the signal from the antenna located near the upper part of the iPhone (depending on the model). If your device's mask has metal parts, replace it with silicone or leather.

Update iOS

A device with non-up-to-air software may have trouble transporting data, i.e. Wi-Fi.

iOS upgrades bring bag fixes and improve your device's performance — including network performance.

To upgrade iOS, go to Settings > General and choose Software Update — if you see a new version of the software, install it.

"Forget" and add wireless network again

"Forgetting" the network on iPhone deletes its password and all information about it. This move can resolve connection problems, i.e. the inability to connect to specific networks.

Make sure you need to enter your password after you try to connect to the network again.

For "Forgetting" a network on iOS:

– Enter Settings > Wi-Fi
- Click the 'i' icon next to the network you want to forget
– press Forget This Network
– for best results, then turn off your iPhone and restart it before connecting to the network.
