In a game called Ghosts, we'll be following the television producer of the eponymous ghost reality show. The game will only be played after 10 p.m.
According to some unwritten rule, horror-themed video games are best experienced when it gets dark – so sometime from ten o'clock in the evening. It's such an unwritten rule, but here's a game that will have to be played after 10 p.m. to be fully experienced.
Ghosts will be an FMV adventure/interactive film in which we will accompany the hosts of a TV show at the investigation of a haunted location. For them, we will make decisions whose outcomes will determine whether these characters survive or not.
What is specific about this game is that term – ten o'clock in the evening. If you start the game before then, you will get a test of sorts and in case you solve it, you will only be able to play a milder version of the game without some violent scenes.
If you start the game after ten hours, you will get access to the "right" version, with one very important "doorknob" – you have to finish it in one sitting because if you give up halfway through the action, your characters die and you have to repeat it all over again.
Ghosts has been announced for PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch. It is scheduled to come out on 22 February 2022.
