A new scam is circulating on WhatsApp – users are required to prove they are human

If you get a message on WhatsApp that you have to prove that you are human by sending a code, beware it is a scam and therefore delete the message, block the seeder, and it would be good to include two-stage authentication.

WhatsApp has been constantly under fire for new scams because hackers know that people often don't even read the message to the end, much less paying attention to who the message came from at all.

The latest in a series of scams that could compromise the security and privacy of many users is spreading in the form of a message purportedly sent by WhatsApp Support or WhatsApp itself.

As warned by WABetaInfo on Twitter, the message states that the user must "prove that the man is by sending the code he received from WhatsApp, or his account will be deactivated tomorrow."

WhatsApp does not send any messages about renewing your account. Block and report unofficial WhatsApp accounts that ask for your 6-digit code.

WhatsApp and WhatsApp Support will never ask you for a 6-digit code!, reads the alert on their profile.

So if you get a message like that, just delete it.

It wouldn't be a bad thing to include two-stage authentication.
