Rocket League, a popular video game from Psyonix, arrives on mobile devices at the end of the year in a free-to-play version called Sideswipe.

According to Psyonix's announcement, Rocket League Sideswipe will be set on the same principle as the "real game", but the change will be in the gaming perspective that will suit mobile devices and touch controls more. Namely, the camera will thus be placed "on the side", and players will compete in 1-on-1 or 2-on-2 matches for two minutes.

Limited alpha testing of the game, currently available on Android to players from Australia and New Zealand, however Psyonix states that wider beta testing will be available in the coming months. Mobile versions of games are becoming increasingly popular, as evidenced by the fact that PUBG Mobile has been downloaded as many as a billion times, so it's no wonder Psyonix decided to drop the mobile version of Rocket League.
